The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the nationally recognized fraternity chapters.

The College Panhellenic (CPH) serves as the governing body for the 4 nationally recognized sororities.

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing body for 12 fraternity and sorority chapters.

For over 100 years the University of New Mexico’s Fraternity and Sorority Community has been a vibrant piece of campus life. Since the beginning, members of these organizations have provided campus leadership, community service and high academic ideals and standards. Greek Life @ UNM breaks the Old School stereotype that you may associate with being in a Greek chapter. As a member of a Greek chapter @ UNM, you have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by holding various offices in the community and within your chapter.

Or you may choose to take advantage of the many service opportunities. Perhaps you will find a home away from home in one of our chapter facilities, while developing friendships that last a lifetime.

Recruitment Information:

College Panhellenic Sororities registration begins April 29th, 2011.

Intrafraternity Council - Mens Recruitment begins May 16, 2011.

Multi-cultural Recruitment will begin Fall 2011 but interested parties should fill out interest forms.
