Sustain our Hazing-Free Environment...
Hazing is prohibited; it’s against the law, and @ UNM it’s enforced...it’s just that simple! We have a full-time professional staff member who lives in the Greek housing area and we do numerous presentations and educational workshops on hazing. Greeks @ UNM have found that true friendship never forms by hazing.

A national study shows that fraternity and sorority members tend to graduate more often than non-Greeks. Not only do Greeks graduate at a higher rate, they also continue to give back to the community after graduation in higher rates than non-Greeks. All of the extra programming on academic support as well as the personal encouragement by members helps to ensure that your family member will be successful.
