Impact by the Numbers

$57,000 Raised

During Greek Week 2026, UNM fraternity and sorority members raised a record $57,000 for Storehouse New Mexico. (news.unm.edu)

Leading Across UNM

Fraternity and sorority members are involved throughout university life.

Our students serve in ASUNM leadership, the ASUNM Senate, student government agencies, Residence Life, Student Affairs programs, governing councils, and campus organizations.

Through these roles, students gain experience in communication, collaboration, decision-making, program planning, advocacy, and organizational leadership.

Leadership in FSL extends beyond holding a title. It means taking initiative, supporting others, solving problems, and helping strengthen the UNM community.

Supporting Academic Success

Our members are students first.

Chapters encourage academic achievement through peer support, study opportunities, mentoring, recognition, and accountability. Members are expected to meet academic standards established by UNM and their organizations.

Creating Community

Impact is not always measured in dollars, hours, or leadership positions.

For many students, fraternity and sorority membership provides a smaller community within UNM. Members build friendships, find mentors, receive support during challenges, celebrate one another’s accomplishments, and become more connected to campus life.

Those relationships can shape a student’s entire college experience.
